CROSS-COUNTRY RUNNING
COMBINED CLUBS A run of six to seven miles through St. Albans and Marshland was held on Saturday by the Rover Scout-Presbyterian Harrier Clubs. Members of the Army Harrier Club were also in attendance, and the runners were. the guests of Mr and Mrs Thompson, Barbadoes street. The trail was laid by N. Thompson and L. Robson. Results: —Teams' race: Presbyterian (9 points) 1, Rovers and Army (27 points) equal 2. Slow pack: M. Yardley .1, G. Rouse 2, M. Small 3. Intermediate pack: Rolton 1, Hornlick 2. Stevens 3. LADIES’ PIONEER CLUB ' Members of the Christchurch Ladies’ Pioneer Harrier Club were the guests of Mrs A. J. Lee, 30 Union street, Papanui, on Saturday. The trail, for the Lee trophy, was laid over a course of five miles through the Papanul-Harewood-Styx districts, by P. Lee, M. Gladlng, and J, McOscar. Results:— B. Bradley and'B.
