Interested.—The tramways authority to whom the suggestion • was referred did not find it clear enough to comment on. Old Timer.— Conscription for oversea service has not been adopted by Australia or South' Africa. A plebiscite in Canada recently authorised conscription. The United States of America has so far called up only single men, but it was. stated recently that conscription would have to be extended to married men. In the United Kingdom men between the ages of 18 and 46 have been called up; but the policy is not to send those under 21 overseas. Farmer.—Put facts and names before the district Primary Production Council or the Manpower Committee. Sorry; no space for it. Invalid.—lnquiring for you.
