Excommunicated. —lt is reported from Buenos Aires that the Roman Catholic Bishop Hanlon of Catamarca has excommunicated the provincial legislature for five days, because a priest and a lay Catholic editor have been arrested for opposing the opening of a gambling casino. Members of the clergy have led street parades, and Bishop Hanlon has exhorted the Catholics to endure gaol fearlessly.—New York, September 16,
