WELLINGTON T.C.

TOMORROW'S PROSPECTS The good acceptances received for the Wellington Trotting Club's spring meeting to be held to-morrow give promise of first-class contests and the presence of horses from Canterbujy and Auckland will lend an added interest. The quality of the horses is well above that raced at the patriotic meeting last week, and a specially good field will contest the Wellington Stakes. Captain Morant is the logical favourite; but Tarn o' Shanter, Golden Shadow, Lucky Gem, and Pocket Book all have more than averager speed. Under the win-and-place system of betting the following horses may be expected to race prominently:— Nai Nai Handicap: Azim, Highrate, Suspense. \ Sharpe Handicap: Watcher, Gallant Navy Brunpasta. Sir Thomas Wilford Memorial: Ronald Logan, B'aydon, Indian Clipper. Wellington Stakes: Captain Morant, Tarn o' Shunter, Lucky Gem. Stewards' Handicap: Buncrana, Azim, Safari. Hutt Park Trial: Smirke, Gallant Navy, Brungasta. Railway Handicap: Yon Yan, Mahoe, G'enarrif. Wellington Handicap: Pacing Power, Ronald Logan, Biaydon.
