* NEW ZEALAND’S PROSPECTS (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Sept. 17. •‘lt is pleasing to note that the Dominion’s allocation of tea for the year ending March 31, 1943, is sufficient to meet our requirements, subject, of course, to the shipping facilities being available.” said the Minister of Supply 'the Hon. D. 3. Sullivan) tonight, when announcing that advice had been received that the Ministry of Food had completed arrangements for the purchase of the whole of the output of tea from India and Ceylon, as from September 15, on behalf of the Allied Nations, who would in turn purchase their requirements from the Ministry of Fond under a quota. Mr Sullivan added that he was not yet in a position to give full details of how the scheme would operate, as further particulars were awaited from. London, but the Food Controller would call a conference of tea importers and indent agents as soon as the completed proposals were available. Plans for operating the scheme within the Dominion would be discussed then.
