PATHOL ACTIVITY IN EGYPT

AIR ATTACKS CONTINUE (Rec. 11 p.m..) LONDON, Sept. 17. To-day's Cairo communique states: "On Tuesday our patrols were active continuously. In the central sector our artillery engaged enemy positions. Yesterday there was nothing to report from our land forces." Heavy bombers raided Tobruk on Tuesday night. Fighter aircraft were active over the battle area, and two enemy aircraft were shot down. Shipping at Benghazi was attacked, direct hits being observed on two vessels, one of which caught fire.
