ARMISTICE SOUGHT IN MADAGASCAR Tire Antananarivo radio station reports that the Vichy authorities in Madagascar have asked for an armistice. The radio broadcast a personal message from the French governor, saying that he was sending plenipotentiaries to the British commander, asking for the cease fire and the opening of negotiations.
