NEW SEA WALL AT REDCLIPFS

ORIGINAL PLANS PASSED BY MAJORITY OP ONE In expressing his regret that the proposal submitted to the Sumner Borough Council for the alteration of the plans for the sea wall in Monck’s Bay, Redcliffs, could not be put into effect, the Mayor (Mr J. E. Tait) said that although he was always willing to lend his support where at all possible, in this case he could not continue to do so in view of the evidence before him. The motion confirming the original plans was passed by a majority of one, and not by the casting vote of the Mayor, as was previously reported.
