ACCIDENTS
MISSING YOUTH FOUND DEAD (P.A.) WAIROA, September 15. The body of a youth, Peter Baker, who had been missing since Saturday, was found in a creek at the Tukemokihi Station this morning. Apparently Baker's horse fell over the bank into the stream. The body was discovered underneath the animal, which was also dead. Baker had an outstanding record as a swimmer, and had won several championships in the Wairoa district. WATERSIDER INJURED While working in the hold of a ship at Timaru, Owen J. F. McKee suffered a compound fracture of the right leg and other injuries. A sling broke, letting the contents fall on McKee. After receiving medical attention from Dr. W. E. Gibson, the injured man was admitted to the Timaru Public Hospital. His condition was reported yesterday to be satisfactory. HAND AND ARM CRUSHED Mr Reginald Goodwin, aged 49 years, of 63 Osborne terrace, North Beach, had his left hand and arm crushed in a machine while working at P. and D. Duncan's yesterday. He was admitted to the hospital, and his condition last night was reported to be satisfactory. .
