ILL-TREATMENT OF JEWS IN FRANCE

PROTEST OF CARDINALS (Rec. 11 p.m.) LONDON, Sept. 14. It is learned in London that the cardinals and archbishops of occupied France have protested to Marshal Petain against the mass arrests and illtreatment of Jews. The protest states: "We cannot stifle the voice of our conscience. In the name of humanity and the principles of Christianity we protest on behalf jof the rights of mankind."
