Batting Time Limit The Christchurch Suburban Cricket Association decided last evening to adhere to its present practice that in one-day matches the team batting first should declare at 4.15 p.m., leaving the other side an equal two and a-quarter hours in which to bat. A good number of delegates supported an amendment that the rule should be altered to provide that the playing time should be equally divided. It was stated that under the present scheme the first side might have only an hour at the wicket because of rain and be compelled to declare at 4.15. The other team could follow on and probably secure a clear win. The first team was decidedly handicapped. On the other hand, if the rain occurred in the second team's innings the match would be drawn and so remove the possibility of an unjust loss. * TE.NNIF PI.aYEkS Have voui racke' rpsinine with /,eii'Ui Supei tin!
