♦ TUESDAY (Before Mr E. C. Levvey, S.M.) REMANDED Clifford Goodwin, a fireman, was charged with deserting an overseas ship at Lyttelton. He pleaded not guilty and was remanded until to-day. DANGEROUS DRIVING, William Buckley was fined £6 and his driving licence was cancelled for 12 months for dangerous driving. "It was one of the worst cases of dangerous driving I have seen," said Traffic Inspector T. Stringer. "He was amusing himself by driving the car straight at oncoming traffic, and pushed five cars off the road." _ ~- :.
