The weather forecast for Canterbury, Issued at 5 p.rn. by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, and dealing with the 24 hours following the time of issue, is as follows; Northerly to north-westerly winds, fresh or strong at times; some scattered rain in. the Alps, but weather otherwise fair and mild. WEST COAST The following is the forecast for the West Coast:— Northerly winds, strong at times; weather cloudy to overcast, with occasional rain; temperatures moderate. CHRISTCHURCH WEATHER The day in Christchurch yesterday was fine, nearly nine hours o£ sunshine being recorded. Rain fell in the evening.
