CROQUET SECTION’S MEETING Two donations, one pf £8 to the Mayoress’s Parcel Fund and one of £lO to the general funds of the Canterbury Provincial Patriotic Council, were made by the croquet section of the United Club at the an .ual meeting held on Saturday. Mr A. C. Murray presided. The following officers were elected: —President. Lieutenant-Colonel W. S. Beamish: vice-presidents, Mr H. A. Penn and Mrs G. W. C. Smithson; honorary secretary-treasurer. Mrs H. A. Penn; committee. Mesdames Adkins, Clark. Hadfield, Kellaway. R. E. McNish. Maddren. and Palmer; delegate to Canterbury • Croquet Association, Mrs R. F. Kellaway: handicappers. Mesdames Kellaway and Palmer and Mr H. A. Penn.
