WOMEN’S DIVISION OF FARMERS’ UNION
Marshland.—The ninth birthday party of the division was celebrated recently, and guests included visitors from the Belfast, Styx, and Harewood branches, the Malrehau Women’s Institute, and the Walmalrl Farmers’ Union. Dancing was enjoyed to music supplied by Miller’s Band. Songs were sung by Miss Ruth Emmett, and humorous items were given by Mesdames Wright and Mum* A special session by "Aunt Lou” was a feature of the entertainment. Winners in the card room were Mrs Wright and Driver J. Robertson. Prizes won during the year were presented as follows:—Flower: Mrs Wilson 1, Mrs G. Watson 2. Cooking: Mrs G. Watson 1, Mrs E. Treleaven 2. Sewing and knitting: Mrs G. Watson 1. Mrs H. Crozier 2. Drama Cup: Mrs Gibbs 1 Mrs Ching 2. Aggregate: Mrs S. Watson 1, Mrs Steere 2.
