CANTERBURY CASH CLUB J. H. Newlove, of Christchurch, secured fastest time and won the senior section of the Canterbury Cash Cycling Club's 50-mile South Lsland championship held over a course from Islington to Rakaia and return on Saturday. The junior title went to A. Drake, also of Christchurch, who covered the distance in 2hr 6min 50 3-ssec. ,W. J. Whiston of Dunedin, finished first in (he event. Results were;—W. J. Whiston (9min) 1, J. H Newlove (3min) 2. R. Slack (3min) 3, A. Drake (7min) 4. I. Sutherland (7min) 5, H. Sutherland (14mln) 6, R, Sutherland (smln) 7.
