MAGISTRATES COURT

FRIDAY. (Before Mr E. C. Levvey, S.M.) TRAFFIC OFFENCES . For riding a cycle without a light at night, Desmond Leslie Columbus was fined 10s. William Lockhead Ling, Rex Stace, Charles Robert Williamson. William John Henry Wood, and Ronald George Montgomery were each ordered to pay costs on similar charges. For driving without a licence, John Standring was fined 10s, and for not having a warrant of fitness for his car a fine of 5s was imposed. Norman Lester Schluter was fined 10s for not having a warrant of fitness and for failing to give way. Morris Robert O’Rourke, a lorry driver, was fined £2. Mary Mabel Lee was ordered to pay costs- for failing to give way. THEFT OF MONEY A woman, whose name the Magistrate ordered to be suppressed, pleaded guilty to a charge; of stealing .the sum of £5. She was ordered to come up for sentence if called on within two, months.
