SECRET BALLOT HELD RESULT NOT KNOWN YET (I- .A.) AUCKLAND,. September U. The result of a secret ballot held throughout the Waikato coalfield pn the issue of whether work should be resumed pending settlement of the present dispute was not made known to-night. It was stated at 10 p,m, that the count had not been completed and that no further announcement would be made until to-morrow at the earliest. A large proportion of 1280 union members voted at polling places in all mine settlements, and it was understood late in the evening that all votes had come to hand, except those of a small group at Mangapehi in the King Country.
