NEW RAIL-CAR SERVICE TO SOUTH
. —♦ . Starting on Monday, a new rail-car service will be operated by the Railways Department between Christchurch and Timaru daily (except on Sundays). The rail-car, the new large Vulcan type, will carry passengers, and newspapers, and will leave-for Timaru at 3.5 a.m., arriving there at 5.40 a.m. It will return leaving Timaru at 9.15. Details of stopping places on the trip are given in an advertisement in this issue.
