NEW RAIL-CAR SERVICE TO SOUTH

. —♦ . Starting on Monday, a new rail-car service will be operated by the Railways Department between Christchurch and Timaru daily (except on Sundays). The rail-car, the new large Vulcan type, will carry passengers, and newspapers, and will leave-for Timaru at 3.5 a.m., arriving there at 5.40 a.m. It will return leaving Timaru at 9.15.
