(Rec, 7 p.m.) NEW YORK, Sept. 8. The Japanese Army spokesman (Colonel Hayao) warned the Japanese to prepare for a long war and for the American counter-offensive which would be launched when the United States had completed total armament. The Tokyo radio, quoting Colonel Hayao, said: “Because the United Nations are determined to fight to a finish, the Japanese people should be grateful for General Tojo’s declaration that Japan will fight for 100 years if o ecessary.”
