♦ ■ WAIMAIRI BEACH CLUB Nearly 80 players took part In the club’s open day during the week-end. The senior stroke handicap was won by A. R. Blank, 75. 2—73, with W. A. Caldwell runner-up, 87. 13 —74. W. Vivian was third with <SO, 5—75. J. H. McGavock won the Junior stroke match, 95, 20—75. H. R. Bell was runner-up with 92, 15—77. The afternoon match, a four-ball best ball bogey, was won by W. A. Caldwell and C. Caldwell, 5 up, after a tie with H. J. Cole and E. S. Thomson. The teams’ match was won by W. A. Caldwell, C. Caldwell, T. de la Mare, and G. H. Christie.
