EXCURSION TRAINS TO SPORTS
BEQUEST BY DULLER RUGBY UNION CPA) WESTPORT. August 17. The Buller Rugby Union appealed to the Railways Department for an excursion train from Reefton to Westport for the Seddon Shield match last Saturday, but the application was refused because, it was stated, there was a shortage of rolling stock. The union decided to-night again to apply for an excursion train when the Nelson challenge match is played, probably on Saturday, August 29; and if Buller still holds the shield, for an excursion train from Greymouth on the occasion of the West Coast challenge a fortnight later In the season.
