HIGH AWARDS TO AMBULANCE CADETS

Advice has been received from St. John’s Gate, London, that Nellie Brown, of the Selwyn cadet nursing division, and Eric W. McGavick, of the New Brighton cadet ambulance division, have gained their Grand Prior’s badges. The Grand Prior’s badge is the highest award of the cadet branch of the St. John Ambulance Brigade, and is awarded only to cadets who have qualified in 12 proficiency badges. Cadets who have gained their Grand Prior’s badge have the distinction of being able to wear their badge on their uniform when going up to their adult divisions.
