THE SECOND FRONT
, —None of your correspondents has answered my simple questions— Where? With what? Their inference is that Britain has not given Russia all the help shp could. The facts are: Britain had to force a road through Iran to help Russia. She has convoyed vast quantities of material, at the expense of lives, ships, and aeroplanes, to Archangel. She has delivered more tanks, aeroplanes, and other supplies than she contracted to send. She has diverted materials from other fronts to the Russian front and induced America to aid Russia. Facts count, not innuendoes.—Yours, etc., E. C. HYDE. August 11, 1942.
