• _— * SAPPER SENTENCED TO TWO YEARS’ IMPRISONMENT (P.A.) WELLINGTON, June 10. Sapper George Dudley Bernard Burns, a member of the New Zealand Expeditionary Force, who deserted from the Ordnance Training Depot while on active service in Egypt on January 12, 1042, was sentenced to two years’ imprisonment with hard labour by a district court-martial recently. He was arrested in Australia three months after he disappeared from Egypt.
