“ POSTINGS WITHIN A FEW DAYS ” (P.A.) WELLINGTON, May 5. The work of checking and acknowledging applications for enrolment in the Home Guard from men between the ages of 35 and SO inclusive, upon whom it is obligatory to forward applications before Thursday,’May 7, is now well under way, according to a statement by’the Hoh. R. Semple, Minister for National Service. The Minister 'said that many units of the Home Guard were in urgent need of additional personnel, and in such districts the selection and posting of men would commence within a few days.
