GIFT OF INVALID CHAIRS

The gift of 12 invalid chairs of a total value of about £250 from the Canterbury Park Trotting Club was acknowledged with warm thanks at the annual meeting of the North Canterbury Hospital Board yesterday. The chairs are for the use of soldier and other patients. The chairman (Mr L. B. Evans) and Sir Hugh Acland each spoke expressing warm appreciation of the gift, which they said would be of inestimable benefit to patients.
