. ♦ RECEPTION TO SOLDIERS A civic reception to eight Lyttelton soldiers will be given in the Council Chambers to-morrow evening. After-, wards the men and relatives will be the guests of the Lyttelton Soldiers’ Entertainment Committee at supper. Books for Soldiers Recently the Lyttelton Borough Council was asked to give 65 books from the public library as Lyttelton’s quota of books for soldiers’ libraries in New Zealand. Instead the council made an appeal to citizens for books, and this has resulted in between 80 and 90 being obtained. S LYTTELTON BOROUGH COUNCIL.
