George Mason Elliott, aged 60, was ordered to come up for sentence if called on within five years, a condition of the suspended sentence being that he remain for that time in the Ashburton old men’s home. REMANDED Robert Murray Allen, charged with defaulting in maintenance payments, was remanded to appear in Dunedin on March 19. TRAFFIC PENALTIES The following penalties were imposed for traffic breaches: —No warrant of fitness for trailer, Alfred Wilton Amor, ss; failing to give way to the right, Arthur L. Eastmond, 20s, John Stevens 20s (and also counsel’s fee and witness’s expenses); speeding, Charles Meachen £2 and Ernest Leslie Kerr £2; failing to keep to the left, William Lindsay Newall £2; breach of lighting regulations, William Leonard Manderson, 10s (no warrant of fitness, ss).
