SERVICE IN HOME GUARD

* COMPULSION IN SOME AREAS OF BRITAIN (8.0. W.) RUGBY, March 11. Compulsory enrolment in the Home Guard is to be introduced in certain civil defence regions in Britain, according to an announcement in th? House of Commons. Mr Duncan Sandys, who made the announcement, said that in certain parts of the country, where voluntary recruiting was insufficient, it had become urgently necessary to bring the Home Guard up to strength.
