JAPANESE RAIDS ON DARWIN
USE OF BRITISH AND U.S. MARKINGS (Received March 12, 7 p.m.) ADELAIDE,, March 12. "The Japanese aeroplanes which bombed Darwin bore British and American markings,” said a member of the crew of a hospital ship which was attacked during the raids. He added that boats picking up men swimming in the harbour were deliberately machine-gunned, and that the Japanese also bombed a hospital, which was clearly marked.
