Outsize In Peas.—Peas with pods seven inches Jong and averaging 11 to the pod were among the exhibits at the Invercargill Horticultural Society’s autumn show. Grown by Mr J. L. McCormick, of Tay street, the peas, which were almost as big as broad beans, were from some imported seed of Ryder’s Exhibition variety.
