GOODS WITH FIXED PRICES
♦ NOTICE OR RECORD MUST BE AVAILABLE IN SHOP (P.A.) WELLINGTON, February 3. Retailers selling goods the prices of which have been fixed by a price order rnust in future have a copy of such order or a statement of the prices fixed prominently displayed in their shops. This is nrovided for in an amendment to the Control of Prices Emergency Regulations issued with the latest Gazette. As an alternative, a retailer must keep a record or file of such price orders available for inspection by customers. If a retailer adopts this method he must display a prominent notice to the effect that the relevant price orders will, on request, be made available for inspection by a customer who wishes to see them. The obligation imposed by the amendment is to become operative by Thursday week in the case of price orders already i-ssued. and with future price orders the obligation must be fulfilled within 14 days after the issue of such orders. ________
