Stake Winners According to statistics published in the New Zealand Trotting Calendar 35 horses have earned £SOO or more during the present season. The list is headed by the Auckland pacer, Josedale Grattan, who includes in his victories the New Zealand Cup, with £2285. Springfield Glebe, who apparently lias not yet reached the end of his tether and Will be afforded further opportunities, comes next on the list with £ 1738. and then follow Clockwork. £1705; Uenuku. £ 1265, Haughty, £1186: Gold Bar. £1185; Certissimus, £1170; and Te Roto £1075. Bronze Eagle is well down on the list with £709. and Walter Moore, who looked like being one of the biggest moneywinners of the season, is credited with £670. Leading Sires
; Jack Potts is far ahead in the list of winning sires, for his progeny have won £14,059 10s, against £8153 by Wrack, now dead, and the coming sire. Grattan Loyal, who is represented by New Zealand’s fastest racehorse. Gold Bar, and two Free-for-all winners in Gold Bar and Mankind. Rey de Oro’s name is being carried on by the winners of £4430 in stake money, while Nelson Derby has £3600 to his credit. Quite Sure, who will be in Canterbury next season, owes a good amount of the £2963 credited to him to the efforts of Certissimus and Walter Mcore. and other sires with winners of more than £2OOO include Man o' War and Frank Worthy, both dead.
