THE 40-HOUR WEEK

Sir,—l noticed in your Saturday's issue that the Labour Party held a conference in Wellington, and had all the members of the Cabinet present. I do hope that they decided to send a delegate to Japan to inform their trade unions that they must comply with the rules adopted in New Zealand, and that both the industrial workers as well as the military must observe strictly the 40-hour we'ek. I am quite sure that some of our able politicians will be able to do this in a round-table talk. Wishing them good luck.—Yours, etc., HOPEFUL. January 14, 1942^
