PRICE FOR APPLES AND PEARS

AVERAGE OVERALL FIGURE

(P.A.) WELLINGTON, January 15. An overall average price of 5s 3d will be paid on apples and pears delivered to assembly points on and after December 1, 1941, according to a notice appearing in to-night’s Gazette, which sets out the schedule of values for the various grades of fruit offered for the market.

These prices for different grades will be subject to adjustment at the end of the season according to the grading of fruit, and the packing materials available throughout the season.
