MOBILISATION TO-DAY

EQUIPMENT ALREADY ISSUED

About 100 new recruits for Christchurch battalions of the National Military Reserve received their equipment at King Edward Barracks yesterday, in preparation for entering camp today. There qre still a good number awaiting posting to their units. Recruiting for the new battalions was brisker yesterday, after quiet days earlier in the week. The depot conducted by a voluntary committee at 96 Hereford street will close on Monday_alght, after- which date enlistments

will be attended to by the Army Department.
