MILITARY OBLIGATIONS OF MARRIED MEN
Sir.—ln reply to Alfred letter in to-day's paper about military obligations of married men, he seems to be of the opinion that he is going to be called, examined, and sent overseas all within a short time. Does he not think that all the single “sine die" men's appeals will be reviewed 'again before they send any married men from the country? I believe this correspondent is a farmer, and there is every possibility he may be a “sine die" himself if he can show that his farm is in any way producing essential foodstuffs for the country. If it should so happen that some “single sine die men" have to wish him luck as they wave him good-bye. he will know that they must be of more use doing essential war-work at home. Their turn may come some time.—Yours, etc., B.Y.’s. January 13, 1942.
