China Releases Supplies MATERIALS FROM AMERICA i (Received January 13, 10 p.m.) LONDON, January 12. The Rangoon correspondent of the “Daily Express” says that as a result of an agreement signed by Sir Reginald Dorman-Smith, Governor of Burma, and General-Chiang Kai-shek the British Army in Burma will soon become one of the hardest-hitting mobile forces in the Far East, Under the agreement, a proportion of the mass of w r ar material from America which is piling up in Burma

UNITED STATES AND MEXICO SPECIAL COMMISSION j SET UP (Received January 13, 9.30 p.m.) WASHINGTON, January 12 The White House has announced the creation of a joint United States and Mexican Defence Commission by the action of Mr Roosevelt and General Camacho, President of Mexico, Tiie commission will consist of General Gonzalez Caderia and General Sanchez Hernadez for Mexico, and Vice-Admiral Alfred Johnson and Major-General Stanley Ernbick for the United States. They will meet after the conference of American Foieign Ministers at Rio de Janeiro. Roth countries have a , lr fady various steps towards joint defence.
