A ban has been imposed by the Gov* eminent on the sale of all rum held by merchants inAhe Dominion. This was reported to “The Press* yesterday, when it -was stated that the ban had been imposed for the benefit of the military authorities, who will have first call. Stocks of rum in the Dominion s| present are reported to be low, ang the imposition of the ban has led te some among merchants led this should lead to the ban being tended to other spirits.
