R.S.A. TOURNAMENT The secretary of the Christchurch, Returned Services’ Association (Mr E. F. Willcox) reported yesterday to a meeting of the association’s golf committee that 'a Considerable number of entries had already been received for the annual tournament to be held at the Christchurch Golf Club’s links at Shirley on Sunday, November 30. Players from as far afield as Timaru, Ashburton, Nelson, and the West Coast, had signified their intention of taking part, and it was hoped to see playing some ■of the returned men from the present war. All arrangements for the tournament were now well in band, and by the time entries closed on Wednesday,. November 26, it was expected that more than 160 players would have sent in their forms. CHRISTCHURCH LADIES’ CLUB At Shirley, yesterday. In the final of the Kingscote Cup competition, Mesdames Kenneth Gresson and F. Brittan, receiving 7 strokes, beat Mesdames A. C. McKillop and W. Toomey, 1 up. TEMPLETON LADIES’ CLUB Mid-week players at the Templeton Ladles’ Golf Club held their closing day yesterday. A stroke match, for Mrs W. Fuller's trophy, played in the morning, was won by Mrs J. Palmer, and Mesdames S. Craze and J. Palmer returned the best cards for the four-ball for a trophy presented by Mrs E. A. Rattray, in the afternoon. The putting trophy, presented by Mrs R. Smart, was won by Mrs G. P. Ander-
