LONG CASE ENDED

APPEAL COURT OCCUPIED FOR 32i DAYS (P.A.) WELLINGTON, November 5. The hearing of by far the longest case on record in the Court of Appeal in New Zealand concluded to-day. It was the appeal of Hall and others v. the Guardian Trust' and others. The hearing commenced on. September’3B, and' occupied Court days. Mr W. D. Lysnar, in presenting the appellants’ case, occupied 15 days. Mr A. H. Johnstone, K.C., for the Guardian Trust, 'addressed the Court for seven days and a half, and for the other; respondents Mr D. R. Hoggard, on behalf of the Bank of New Zealand, occupied three days, and Mr H. F. O’Leary, K.C., and Mr H. E. Evans, .on behalf of the Union Bank, occupied three days; Mr Lysnar, in reply, addressed the Court for four days, after which decision was reserved.
