HOSPITAL PATIENT’S DEATH

VERDICT AT INQUEST (P.A.) AUCKLAND, November 5. A verdict that Mrs Sellar met her death through throwing herself from a. window on the third floor of the Wallace block at the Auckland Hospital was returned by the Coroner, Mr F. K. Hunt, at the ■ inquest into the death of Mrs Jane Sellar, a widow, aged 63, of Otahuhu. The charge nurse in the ward said that at 10.55 p.m. bn October 23 she heard other patients in the ward shouting. When she went in, she saw Mrs Sellar climbing through the window. Witness was too late to stop her. Mrs Sellar had been admitted 10 days previously after a minor accident. She was restless that evening, but had shown no other signs of trouble.
