OFFICIAL FORECASTS (PSS.) WELLINGTON. Nov. 5. The weather forecast for Canterbury Issued at 5 p.m. by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, and dealing with the 24 hours following the time of issue, is as follows: — Fresh north-easterlies, at times on the coast; but north-westerlies predominating inland, and later becoming strong. Weather fair to fine. Mild to warm temperatures. WEST COAST The forecast for the West Coast of the South Island is:— Northerly winds gradually predominating. and becoming strong in the south. Weather mainly fair to cloudy and mild, hut scattered ; drizzle or rain developing In the south.
