PIGEON RACING

EAST CHRISTCHURCH CLUB The East Christchurch Racing Pigeon Club recently flew off a race from Clinton. Twenty-three birds were sent, divided amongst five owners. The birds were liberated by the statlonmaster at 8.3 a.m. in squally weather. The winners were May and Ball’s bird, No. 247, which flew the distance of 248 miles 550 yards in 6hr 56mln 38sec. beating the next bird in time by 27 minutes.
