Mclver, head of the commercial department of the King Edward Technical College, and lecturer in auditing at the University of Otago, was last night chosen as the. National Party’s candidate for Dunedin North. He is a returned soldier, and was born in Gore in 1898. —P.A. Mr H. S. Elliott, secretary of the Hawera Fire Board for more than 30 years, has resigned his position owing to ill-health.
