ZONE QUOTA FILLED

PATRIOTIC APPEAL
The Geraldine and Temuka zone quota in the £1,000,000 Appeal has been exceeded by a margin of £149 2s 4d. This was reported by the treasurer (Mr C. L. Kirby) at a meeting of the Geraldine and Temuka Patriotic Committee.
The Geraldine ihter-zone quota had been exceeded by £316 15s 9d, and the Temuka inter-zone had yet to find £165 before it quota was complete, the report said. To date the Temuka Returned ’ Soldiers’ Association appeal has produced £324 9s 3d. A long discussion revealed that in reaching the , quota of the £1,000,000 Appeal the district had to be canvassed two or three times. It was agreed to send a recommendation to the next conference advocating appeals for smaller amounts for specific purposes so that only one appeal would N be necessary.
Fairlie Quota
Mr W. Scott reported to the Fairlie Patriotic Committee recently that the district had exceeded its quota of £345.
