HEAVY DAMAGE IN RAID ON SICILY LONDON, July 29. It is officially announced that 34 aircraft were destroyed, and many others damaged in an attack yesterday by the Royal Air Force on Sicily. There were no ' British losses. POLISH-SOVIET AGREEMENT LONDON, July 29. The Polish Prime Minister (General Sikorski) announced this afternoon that Poland and Russia had com§ to an agreement on honourable terms. It is expected that the details .will be published in the next day or two. JAPAN AND THAILAND . LONDON, July 29. . With Japanese troops rapidly completing the occupation of Indo-China, the Japanese radio has begun a campaign similar to that which preceded the move into Indo-China. Tokyo alleges that British troops are moving up to the Thai frontier, and that British warships are patrolling in Thai waters. GERMAN DIFFICULTIES IN UKRAINE LONDON, July 29. The Berlin radio announced that a German military spokesman had said that the weather was making the German advance in the southern sector very difficult.
