1 _ The deaths of two former members of the court of directors of the Royal Humane Society of New Zealand, Sir Cyril Ward and Mr A. W. Owles, were recorded with regret at the annual meeting of the society yesterday. Captain J, P. Moffat, the newly appointed sports officer at Burnham Military Camp, was welcomed by the president of the Canterbury Rugby Union (Mr 12. V. Phillips) as the Army representative on the union’s management committee at the meeting last evening. . Tributes to the service given by: Mr C. D. Morris, who has retired from the court of directors of the Royal Humane Society of New Zealand, were paid at the annual meeting of the society yesterday.
