ACCIDENTS
TWO CYCLISTS INJURED Alexander McCaldon, a woodworker, aged 71, of 82 Oxford terrace, had-his leg fractured when his bicycle was involved in a , collision with a motorcar at the corner of Cashel street and Durham street yesterday afternoon. He was admitted to the Christchurch Public Hospital. A six-year-old cyclist, Ronald David Terris, of 482 Colombo street, who suffered concussion ’ and abrasions in a collision witjv a motor-car at the corner of Colombo street and Sandyford street shortly before 7 o’clock last evening, was also admitted to hospital.
FATAL ELECTRIC SHOCK (P.A.) • DUNEDIN. July 10. Peter Robinson, a linesman, employed by the Otago Power Board, was killed by an electric shock while working in a sub-station at Waitati this afternoon. Robinson came in contact with a 6000-volt insulator. He fell or was thrown back, but was caught by a companion, who lowered him to the floor. Artificial respiration was continued by doctors for two hours without success.
